Why and when
WUP provides a range of tailored training and mentoring services in order to facilitate the transfer of usability research expertise to the client development team. Investing in the development of your web team and other relevant staff builds organisational ‘know-how’, a key contributor to competitive advantage and reduce the reliance on consultants like us!
Training can be appropriate at all stages of developing web sites from gaining understanding about user goals and the goals the site is to support through to developing usable site navigation and writing usable content.
How we do training and mentoring
Training activities are developed in the context of the specific projects we are working with clients on - they may include topics such as:
- Researching and understanding the user experience
- Using user research to inform information architecture development
- Writing for the web
In addition, WUP can work on an ongoing basis with individuals and small groups on user experience and usability research issues within the specific development context, addressing specific issues as and when they arise.
